The Erpingham Dig team is a group of enthusiastic people from a variety of different backgrounds that live in Erpingham or close by. We are all interested in local history and want to see the Manor House site preserved for future generations of villagers.

The committee are supported by a group of local medieval re-enactors, metal detectorists, local historians and villagers.

Erpingham Dig’s patron is Professor Anne Curry, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Professor of Medieval History at the University of Southampton.

Dr Curry is a medieval historian with special interests in the Hundred Years War and, more specifically, Agincourt<. She has written many books on the subject.
