600th Anniversary of Agincourt events

In 2015, there were a number of events that took place in the village of Erpingham to celebrate and commemorate the life of Sir Thomas Erpingham as part of the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt.

Some of the commemorative events included a community excavation at the site of Sir Thomas’ Manor House, a ‘Medieval Spectacular’ including battle re-enactments and a reconstructed medieval village, a two-day medieval costume workshop, flower festival, heraldry display and heraldic embroidery demonstration, talks on medieval warfare and archery, and a special service at Erpingham Church with sermon by the Bishop of Norwich.
